Egg-Stravaganza Event Postponed
March 18, 2020
We regret to inform you, that sadly, our very popular Egg-Stravaganza event that was scheduled for April 11th, must be postponed due to the new guidelines from the CDC for the presumptive outbreak of Covid-19 and flu activity remaining high. This was such a popular fundraiser for us and with the pool in such despair we are so sad. We know so many of you love the great breakfast, hunting for eggs, getting precious photos with the Easter Bunny and shopping our silent auction baskets for a very worthwhile cause. The health and wellbeing of our clients, staff and community is of upmost importance to us and we will take every measure necessary to keep everyone safe.
Instead, we are working on an event later this year that will be fun for the entire family. We will enjoy an activity for the kids, food to nibble on and you will love the silent auction filled with great baskets from our supporters near and far. Keep tuned to Facebook as the details develop and group gatherings are deemed safe. If you have offered to donate a basket or already have, we appreciate your support and are still accepting donations to be used at the event later this year. Please call Jayne Wilhelm at 712-464-8961 to make arrangements or if you have questions.

I want to keep you abreast of the measures Opportunity Living is putting in place with the presumptive outbreak of the Covid-19 and the Flu activity remaining high. Effective immediately we are suspending all community outings for our clients/members. We are also closing the Activity Center to the community until further notice. As for the homes, we are limiting visitors, however this will be re-evaluated daily.
We are working with local vendors to ensure we have all medication and supplies needed for at least 30 days. The health and wellbeing of our clients, staff and community is of upmost importance to us and we will take every measure necessary to keep everyone safe.
We realize the news, information, and other items that surround this topic are changing daily and can be overwhelming to determine what is factual. We will be following the Iowa Department of Public Health and Office of Epidemiologist guidelines. We will also update our Facebook and Website with the latest information. We pray this passes quickly so we can get back to our normal routine. Stay safe and God Bless!
